Kwanza


Kwanza is a celebration held by Africans and African descendants  in the United States 
and in other nations of the African diaspora in the Americas.
This celebration lasts a week.
The celebration honors African heritage and is observed from December 26 to January 1, culminating in a feast and gift giving.
Kwanza has seven core principles (Nguzo Saba).

Seven candles in a kinara symbolize the seven principles of Kwanza.
