Miss World 2018 was the 68th edition of Miss World pageant that took place in Sanya, China on 8th December 2018.
Manushi Chhillar of India crowned her successor Vanessa Pnce de Leon of Mexico at the end of the event.
She is the first Mexican woman to win Miss World.
118 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown.
Ponce was raised in the city of Guanajuato and grew up in Mexico City. She holds a degree in International Business and is currently on the Board of Directors of a Rehab centre for girls. She is fluent in both English and Spanish languages.
